Happy Friday!!  Thank goodness for the weekend!

My morning started off a lot like it did about a month ago: with an early morning workout Open-mouthed smileOpen-mouthed smile!  If I want to do some weight training at the gym, early morning is SO much better than after work… you can barely get a machine with all the crowd there.  I had half a banana with peanut butter to fuel up (and water).

Workout: Strength Training

Wood chops, seated chess press, alternating rows, shoulder press, adduction, abduction, seated leg curls, leg extensions, squats with dumbbell, bench dips, reverse lunges with dumbbell, bicep curls

It definitely felt good to get a good workout in AT the gym.  At home ones are just fine, but I don’t have the right equipment to get to some resistances/weights that I need.

Post-workout refueling was a Brown Cow Vanilla Greek Yogurt, WF Pumpkin Granola, toasted PB&J, and some coffee.

Lotsa protein for muscle recovery and a PBJ because they are one of the best/yummy breakfast foods in my opinion!

I never ended up having a snack today, but instead had an early lunch: ghetto Hugh Jass salad and cornbread!!

Spinach, broccoli slaw, black beans, cucumbers, grilled chicken, baby carrots, cheese stick, light balsamic vinaigrette. Sparkly water Open-mouthed smile

This wasn’t the biggest lunch, so not much later I dug into some homemade trail mix: cinnamon quaker oatmeal squares, raisins, and cinnamon roasted almonds.  I scarfed the bag in about 5 minutes Open-mouthed smile.  LOVE this mix!

Work was about as entertaining as watching grass grow today, BUT it was only an 8 hour work day for me (hooray for early release Fridays!!).  I had to run a few errands, but I “happened” to be near a World Market…

I bought a nice new HUGE glass for my Green Monsters (no more drinking them out of the Magic Bullet cups!), some Fine and Coarse Sea Salt, Chocolate <3, a spoon (I’m obsessed… it’s weird), and a 20oz ceramic soup crock.  Ashley has been making TONS of Buckwheat bakes and I’ve been getting c-r-a-v-i-n-g-s for them!!  Now I’ve got something oven-proof and ready to go!  I also have some buckwheat groats coming in a shipment from the iHerb.com giveaway I won, so I’m doubly ready to make some buckwheat bakes now SmileSmile.  My shipment should be here within a week, and I can tell you right now that I absolutely used up every penny of the spree – wait til you see how much I was able to get with $50! Open-mouthed smile

I’ve never tried this Sea Salt chocolate before either, but I see all the people on the blogs I read eat it ALL the time… it’s seriously like caramel, melt-in-your-mouth creaminess Open-mouthed smile.  I only had 1 square (super hard not to eat the whole thing!) so I can save up for dinner out with Tom and Brittany tonight.
